The flocks are all sunbathing outside (bar two hens that have leg sprains and are still confined...), we are entering molt season and thus very few eggs are going in the daily basket but that's all right - life is good!
the only thing you can do (if the leg isn't broken) is to confine your hen in a small space away from flock members so she is forced to rest and give the leg time to heal...
i heard it can take weeks for recovery, sometimes never if it's nerve damage :-/

I have a black star favoring a leg. Nothing obvious wrong with it. How do you treat your hens with the leg sprains?
